• Can I install a Satellite dish myself?
Yes, you can use the installation manuals but professional installation is recommended and with a purchase of service, Sky V Satellites will do the installation!
• My homeowners association forbids satellite dishes, what can I do?
In August 1996, the FCC released the "Satellite Consumer Bill of Rights." This prohibits area zoning ordinances and Homeowner Association contracts and restrictions on DBS dish antennas. The 1996 Telecommunications Act is on your side in this matter. Our dishes, sizes 18",20",30" and 36" comply with the Satellite Consumer Bill of Rights.
• How do I get free professional installation for my DirecTV System?
With the purchase of a System or when you commit to 18 months of programming Sky V Satellites will deliver free equipment and free professional installation of the dish and up to four receivers in four different rooms.
• Also, if you are renting you need to get permission from your landlord.
• What about International Programming?
Sky V Satellites offers many International Programming packages but you would need to have a second Dish installed in addition to your main system because the International Programming is delivered from a different satellite in the sky.
• How good is your warranty?
Sky V Satellites offers a one year warranty on all hardware and a three months installation warranty.
• Can I get HDTV with any DirecTV System?
Yes, DIRECTV now broadcasts over 75 national HD channels, with lots more to come.

• Can I substitute one channel for another in my basic package?
Sky V Satellites strive to make satellite programming as affordable as possible. One way to help keep costs lower is to provide stations in packages, rather than mostly a la carte. Allowing customers to substitute channels would have the adverse effect of forcing us to raise prices, both for overall programming, and for a la carte stations. To prevent this, no substitutions are allowed.
• How many receivers can I have?
Sky V Satellites offers up to four receivers. Sky V Satellites will not charge for the installation of any of the four receivers.
